North Coast League Championship

On a rainy, muddy, cold day, this past weekend the Men’s cross country team participated in the North Coast League Championship, and the Varsity finished in 3rd place. Once again, Senior Nate Ondracek led the Warriors by winning the race. Congratulations to Nate for his third consecutive first place finish in this race, making him a three time NCL League Most Valuable Runner. Adam Shah also ran a very smart race, and blew away the competition with 500 meters to go in the race to finish 3rd overall, earning him First Team NCL Honors. Freshmen Luke Ondracek finished 17th and was the top freshmen on the day, and he earned Second Team NCL Honors. Sophomores Gavin McHale placed 25th and Gavin Carr finished 31st to round out the scoring. Despite putting five runners in the top ten places of the race, the Open Team finished second in their race. The top five finishers for the Warriors were Seniors Jonathan Cutri and Danny Reagan, Junior Seth Carr, and Freshmen Luke Lenz, and Dominic Bertoni. Next weekend, the Running Warriors will compete in the OHSAA District Meet.
