Admissions Criteria

As a Catholic, college prep school in the Jesuit tradition, Walsh Jesuit actively seeks students that represent a broad and diverse variety of abilities, talents, backgrounds, and interests. Admissions reviews each applicant for admission in a holistic way.  Walsh Jesuit High School admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.

Walsh Jesuit evaluates each application based, in part, on the following:

Desire for a Walsh Jesuit education
Admissions Application
Junior High Grades (7th & 8th grade)
HSPT Results
Teacher Recommendations

Students in 8th grade who wish to apply to Walsh Jesuit must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). A parent information session will be held at each HSPT session.

Parent Information Program

Anytime a Walsh Jesuit High School Placement Test (HSPT) is held, a Parent Information Session is offered at the same time. All prospective parents are encouraged to attend.

The Admissions team, along with members of administration, will present an overview of the admissions process and important information about financial aid. Parents will have an opportunity to learn about WJ's college-prep curriculum, campus ministry, extra-curricular activities, transportation, guidance & college placement.
