McQuaid Invitational

The Men’s cross country had a positive and strong performance this past weekend in Rochester, New York, where they participated in the 54th Annual McQuaid Invitational, one of the biggest cross country meets in the entire United States.
 
The Warriors competed in two different races this past Saturday.
 
The Varsity B team, which is made up of junior varsity and open runners, ran in a race against 27 other teams and over 400 runners.   At the end, they scored 81 points to finish 2nd overall, missing first place by only 3 points.  Freshmen Tim Burke placed 5th in the race, followed by Senior Danny Reagan in 7th and sophomore Noah Schlueter in 10th place. Senior Sam Marshall finished 14th and Freshmen Dominic Bertoni placed 45th to round out the scoring.
 
The Varsity team took 10th out of 18 teams in a very competitive race. The Varsity team was led by the 8th place finish of Senior Nate Ondracek and the 22nd place finish of Senior Adam Shah.  Freshmen Luke Ondracek finished 56th and Junior Karios McCune was 79th. Sophomore Gavin McHale rounded out the scoring for the Warriors in 95th place.
 
Next weekend, the Running Warrior teams travel to Trumbull County Fairgrounds to compete in the Legends Meet.
