Running Warriors Qualify For Regional Meet

The Walsh Jesuit men’s cross country team finished in fifth at the OHSAA Division I District meet on Saturday, October 21 at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds, advancing the Warriors to the Regional meet.

Once again, the Warriors were led by Nathaniel Ondracek who finished 14th in 16:21.23. Gavin Gronowski placed 29th while Adam Shah and Mitch McGreal finished 35th and 36th, respectively. Rounding out the WJ finishers were Jonathan Cutri in 64th place, Gavin McHale in 76th and Karios McCune in 81st place.
The Regional meet will be held Saturday, October 28 at Boardman High School and seven of the 23 competing teams are state ranked. The top seven teams will advance to the state meet on November 4.
