Lauren Moretti '18, and Samuel Miller ’17 - this year's scholarship recipients
Lauren Moretti '18, is this year's recipient of the Rebecca K. Hyland Memorial Scholarship. Samuel Miller ’17, is this year’s recipient of the Kevin Neff Scholarship.
The Rebecca K. Hyland award, established by Rebecca's parents, in memory of Rebecca '01 who tragically passed away in an automobile accident in 2007, is given annually to a deserving student. Moretti, nominated by the faculty at Walsh Jesuit, embodies the characteristics of living life to the fullest, a strong work ethic, interest in learning and dedication to serving others.
The Kevin Neff Scholarship award reflects the qualities of Kevin Neff ’04 who passed away his junior year at Walsh Jesuit following a courageous battle with cancer. The scholarship recognizes a well-rounded individual who, in the face of a challenge, exhibits character, effort, and development during their time at Walsh Jesuit.
