VARSITY FINISHES 11TH OUT OF 25!

 
The Men’s cross country had a positive and strong performance this past weekend in Rochester, New York, where they participated in the 55th Annual McQuaid Invitational, one of the biggest cross country meets in the entire United States.
 
The Warriors competed in three different races this past Saturday.
 
The JV team ran in a race against 28 other teams against over 400 runners.   At the end, they finished 10th overall. Junior Brennan Eggleston, Sophomore Jack Meermans, Sophomore Marcus Kendal, Junior James Bagne, and Senior Jason Sagun scored for the Warriors.
 
The Varsity B team placed 13th out of 25 teams. Sophomores Tim Burke, Nick Saunders, Joe Zakelj, and Dominic Bertoni and Senior Seth Carr scored for the Warriors.
 
The Varsity team took 11th out of 25 teams in what was the most competitive race of the day. The Varsity team was led by the 8th place finish of Sophomore Luke Ondracek who earned an elite runner’s status with his time of 15:34. Juniors Gavin McHale and Kunal Jain each ran 16:32 and finished 50th and 51st respectively. Junior Gavin Carr and Senior Karios McCune rounded out the scoring for the Warriors.
 
Next weekend, the Running Warrior teams travel to Stow Silver Springs Park to compete in the Stow Bulldog Invitational.
