Warriors defeat rival Archbishop Hoban

Belsole and Bobby Perebzak lead Warriors on mound to wild win as Walsh Jesuit Baseball reaches 20-win plateau for 22nd time in 23 years
Armsey, Swan, and Henry Kaczmar have big days at the plate in victory
 
WALSH UNIVERSITY, May 15, 2019: The Walsh Jesuit baseball team erased a 6-1 deficit to defeat NCL rival Akron Archbishop Hoban by a score of 10-8 behind solid relief pitching by junior RHP Brock Belsole and sophomore LHP Bobby Perebzak. Perebzak came on in the 5th and hurled 2-2/3 innings of perfect baseball, striking out 6 of the 8 batters he faced. Leading the way offensively for the Warriors was talented sophomore Jake Armsey, who had a pair of hits including a deep 2-run double. Also making a big contribution at the place was senior Ashland recruit Evan Swan with a pair of hits including an RBI double, and freshman University of Michigan recruit Henry Kaczmar with a pair of doubles and a pair of runs scored. Hitting well for the Maroon & Gold was also senior Nick Vaccaro, senior Nate Stahl, sophomore Erik Stern with a deep double, and senior Kent State recruit Riley Feltner.
 
The win marked the 22nd time in the past 23 years that Walsh Jesuit Baseball has reached the 20-win plateau, as the Warriors improved to 20-3 on the year.
