Warriors stumble at Benedictine
Bobby Perebzak sharp; Swan collects 2 hits while Henry Kaczmar has deep RBI double
 
CASE WESTERN RESERVE UNIVERSITY, April 15, 2019: The Walsh Jesuit Baseball fell for the first time in the 2019 campaign in a 7-2 setback versus Cleveland Benedictine at Nobby’s Ballpark of Case Western Reserve University. Errors plagued the Warriors on the day, as only two of the opposition’s runs were earned. Sophomore LHP Bobby Perebzak came on and threw very well in relief, allowing a single unearned run, while striking out 6 in four innings pitched. Senior Ashland recruit Evan Swan had a pair of hits and an RBI for the Marron & Gold, while freshman Michigan recruit Henry Kaczmar chipped in a deep RBI double. Also hitting well for WJ was sophomore Jake Armsey, junior catcher Stanley Kaczmar, and sophomore Erik Stern who also had a double.
 
With the defeat, the Warriors fall to 12-1 on the year, 4-1 in NCL play.
