Elementary School Dual Credit Partnership Overview

Walsh Jesuit High School will provide elementary school 7th and 8th grade students in advanced math classes, the opportunity to earn high school and elementary school credit at the same time.  

Upon successful completion of course work, students will be issued a Walsh Jesuit transcript.  

Courses Offered 
Students currently enrolled in the advanced math class may opt into dual credit. A student enrolled in the class is not required to take dual credit. 
  • Algebra 1 (1.0 credits) 
  • Geometry (1.0 credits)

$100.00 per credit

  • Grading and Transcripts

    • Grades will be calculated and shared with Walsh Jesuit as a percent (as opposed to a letter grade) 
    • The Walsh Jesuit grading scale and GPA equivalents will be used for granting high school credit. Grade earned will not impact the cumulative GPA average of students choosing to enroll at Walsh Jesuit High School.
    • Upon completion of each semester, families can request their Walsh Jesuit high school transcript from the Registrar
  • Policies

    • Students must uphold academic and behavior policies of their elementary school and those of Walsh Jesuit  
    • Students that attend Walsh Jesuit for high school will still be expected to take 4 years of math classes
  • Requirements to Participate

    • Parent consent 
    • Teacher consent/recommendation from current teacher in the subject area or former teacher in the subject area 
    • Student earned 85% or higher in their previous math class
  • Student Service Plans

    • Students on service plans are welcome to participate in the dual credit program. All accommodations will be honored. Modifications will need to be discussed and approved by Walsh Jesuit.

Both the Acknowledgement Form and the Registration form must be completed in order for a student to be enrolled for dual credit.
