Warriors Falls To St. Edward 2-0

The St. Edward buzzing offense and stifling defense slowed Walsh Jesuit's march on the road in the first game after the break and the Eagles posted a 2-0 win in the Great Lakes Hockey League over the Warriors.

There were chances both ways, but the Eagles seemed just more ready to go. Both defensive units played well down low in the crease area. Notably, Easton Kindall, Connor Coughlin, and Charlie Huscroft stayed with a cycling attack for the Warriors to consistently repel a second and third option via interception or block. However the Eagles eventually overwhelmed the Warriors twice from close in, once just following a power play.

The Warriors displayed a similar attack but never closed. Puck support showed up a bit slower and at times without the extra player to keep the attack alive after the first attempt. In the end, St. Ed's outshot WJ 20-13.
