Camino Scholars Program

Camino Scholars Program

Find your Path; Discover your Purpose.

The word camino means "the way" or "the journey." At Walsh Jesuit, the Camino Scholars Program reflects our Jesuit mission by helping students discover their unique gifts while pursuing academic excellence, leadership, and service to others. Beginning junior year, students experience a two year comprehensive study of their chosen camino.

Through immersive, hands-on learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom, students are encouraged to explore their passions, think critically, and engage with real-world challenges. Grounded in the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis—care for the whole person—the program empowers students to grow not only as scholars, but as compassionate leaders prepared to make a meaningful impact.

Explore the pathways below to discover where your journey could begin.
Education is not simply about preparing for a career—it's about discovering who you are called to become.

Real-World Learning

Students apply classroom learning through research, service, mentorship, independent study, and hands-on experiences connected to their pathway.

Discernment with Purpose

Rooted in the Jesuit tradition, Camino Scholars integrate reflection, ethics, and vocation into their academic journey.

Recognition at Graduation

Students who successfully complete the program receive special recognition at graduation, celebrating their dedication and achievement.

More than College Preparation

Camino Scholars is more than an academic distinction. It is an opportunity to explore your interests, challenge yourself academically, and develop the confidence to lead with compassion, curiosity, and purpose. Rooted in the Jesuit tradition of educating the whole person, Camino prepares students not only for college—but for lives of meaningful service and leadership.
