The Summit County Sports Hall of Fame announced that our very own, Gerry Rardin '72, will be inducted into the Summit County Sports Hall of Fame at an event on October 2nd.
Rardin, currently the Dean of Students at Walsh Jesuit is a 1972 graduate of and former football coach at Walsh Jesuit High School where he served the Warriors for 42 years – 35 as the head coach. He was named Coach of the Year 10 times by various organizations and was the National Coach of the Year in 2000. He led his teams to a record of 252-118-2 (including two undefeated seasons), the 1999 OHSAA State Championship, 17 regional playoff appearances including 10 regional finals, five final four appearances and a pair of state championship games. More than 250 of his players went on to play at the collegiate level and five have gone on to play in the NFL.
