Records Fall as Warrior Women Win NCL Swimming Championship

The Warrior women’s swimming team topped nine league rivals to once again win the North Coast League Championship Meet to continue its domination of the annual event. The women outscored runner-up Archbishop Hoban 122-102 to take the title which was held on February 3 at Gilmour Academy
Senior Bryanna Renuart broke pool records in winning the 200 yard individual medley (2:11.65) and the 100 yard breaststroke (1:08.22). Sophomore Maddie Draiss broke the meet record on the way to taking first place in the 500 yard freestyle (5:18.64). Draiss also won the 200 yard freestyle (2:01.16). She and Renuart teamed with junior Jessica Brown and sophomore Mia Telerico to win the 400 yard freestyle relay (3:48.89). Other first place finishes by the Warriors included Telerico in the 100 yard butterfly (1:02.56), and Brown in the 100 yard freestyle (58.97).
