WJ Men’s Swim Team Falls to Wooster
 
The men’s swim team lost to Wooster High School 72-110 on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Wooster. 
 
Juniors Luke Lenz and Ryan Wagner led the scoring, each placing first in both of their individual events, including Lenz in the 100 yard breaststroke and the 200 yard IM and Wagner in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle.  Senior Simon Hamad took second in both of his individual events, including the 200 yard freestyle and the 100 yard butterfly.  Freshman Jack Cerone took second in both 100 yard breaststroke and 200 yard IM.  Senior Quaid O’Brien took third in the 500 yard freestyle.  Junior Jack Mercer placed first in the diving competition, including setting a new school record for the 6 dive event with a score of 215.75.  The record was previously held by Cole Francetic in 2013. 
 
The WJ men placed second in the 200 yard medley with the team of Lenz, Cerone, Hamad, and Wagner.  Also placing second in the 400 yard freestyle relay was the team of Hamad, Cerone, O’Brien, and Wagner.  Placing third in the 200 yard freestyle relay was the team of O’Brien, Junior Dewey Black, Junior Joe Zakelj, and Lenz.
