Junior Braden Ost was recently notified that he received the highest possible ACT composite score of 36. Only around two-tenths of 1 percent of students who take the ACT earn a top score. In the U.S. high school graduating class of 2018, only 2,760 out of more than 2 million graduates who took the ACT earned a top composite score of 36.
Congratulations to the Walsh Jesuit students who made the honor roll first semester. Those students who achieved a weighted GPA of 3.75 or greater earned First Honors. Second Honors Achievement Level is a 3.30 weighted average.
Singing, dancing, song trivia, and class competitions took place at a pep rally where Walsh Jesuit students, faculty, and staff celebrated Black History Month. This year's assembly focused on the musical contributions of the African Americans.
Ten Walsh Jesuit seniors participated in National Signing Day. Each of these students has signed a letter of intent for a collegiate sport with a Division I or Division II school that is a member of the United States National Collegiate Athletic Association. Walsh Jesuit honored these student athletes with a signing ceremony on February 6, 2019.
