Varsity finishes 6th out of 17 teams!

The Varsity team took 6th out of 17 teams in a very competitive race. The Varsity team was led by the 5h place finish of Sophomore Luke Ondracek and the 22nd place finish of Junior Kunal Jain.  Junior Gavin McHale finished 27th and Senior Karios McCune placed 56th. Junior Noah Schlueter rounded out the scoring for the Warriors in 66th place.
Perhaps, it was the ideal running conditions or, maybe, it was the determination of the team, but 13 runners ran their personal best time of their season and even their running career at WJ. Congrats to the following guys who set personal best times: Kunal Jain, Luke Lenz, Tim Burke, Nick Saunders, Dominic Bertoni, Jack Bagne, Seth Carr, Brody Toth, Kenneth Nazareth, Frank Qin, Michael Albertini, and Angelo Ciccolini. Special shout out goes to Freshmen Jack Bagne for being the first WJ finisher in the Open race.
Next weekend, the Running Warrior will compete in the North Coast League Championship, which is held at Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School on Saturday.
