ALUMNI ASSOCIATION MISSION STATEMENT
The Walsh Jesuit Alumni Association is dedicated to continuing the personal human development of its members by promoting intellectual and spiritual growth, a deeper spirit of participation in the Walsh Jesuit community, a commitment to justice for the benefit of all, and the preservation of Walsh Jesuit High School in the Jesuit educational tradition.

REMEMBERING THE WALSH JESUIT LEGENDS -We are approaching the 50th Anniversary of Walsh Jesuit and we want your stories! We would like to collect stories and photos about your days as a student at Walsh Jesuit. We hope to collect hundreds of anecdotes and compile a "collection of stories" in time for the school's 50th anniversary! Please email your stories with photos to Katie (Koblenzer) Orendorf '03.
WARRIORS MAKING AN IMPACT AROUND Are you, or do you know any Warrior Volunteers, Warriors in the Military, or Warriors as Missionaries? If so, we would love to feature these stories in the next issue of Warrior Paths! Send us pictures and a brief explanation about what you are doing in the service of others! CHICAGO ALUMNI RECEPTION: May 18, 2013 -Save the date for the annual Chicago alumni reception on Saturday, May 18. This year, the annual visit will include a POWWOW “Escape to the Islands” theme. Gift baskets and a mini-auction will be a part of this year’s annual reception! Information will be mailed to all Chicago area alumni. For those willing to lend a helping hand, contact Lisa Lutz at lutzl@walshjesuit.org.
WINTER & LENT - SPIRITUALITY PROGRAM FOR ADULTS (SPA): January 15 - March 21 SPA is an opportunity to deepen your spiritual and prayer life by experiencing the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises with other adults in the Walsh Jesuit Community. Two separate retreats will be held this winter: every Tuesday morning, January 15 to March 19, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.; and every Thursday night, January 17 to March 21, from 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Click here to register online or contact Fr. BOOSTER CLUB EVENING AT THE RACES – February 2, 2013 Make plans now to gather a group of friends for Walsh Jesuit's annual “Evening at the Races” fundraiser on Saturday, February 2, 2013. The event, sponsored by the Athletic Booster Club, is a great opportunity to take a break from the post-holiday winter blues and enjoy food, friends, and fun. All proceeds benefit Walsh Jesuit student-athletes and the school’s first-class athletic programs. Information on purchasing tickets will be available soon. JESUIT RETREAT HOUSE OF CLEVELAND – January 13, 2013 - Afternoon Mini Retreat: Marriages of Grace. Enjoy time away with your spouse on the beautiful 57 acre campus of Jesuit Retreat House for an afternoon mini retreat lead by Marriages of Grace. In the course of this afternoon retreat you will gather with other married couples for two 30-40 minute presentations. Time will be provided for questions and answers. These sessions will open the door for each couple to delve further through personal reflection and in the privacy of their own lives. The retreat will run from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Cost is $40/couple. LABRE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - Every Monday Alumni are invited to participate in Walsh Jesuit's Labre Project, now in its fourth year, which delivers food and friendship to Akron's homeless community every Monday. The evening begins at 5 p.m. with food preparation and a prayer. Volunteers arrive back at Walsh Jesuit at approximately 9:30 p.m. Since space is limited in the van, the Campus Ministry Office asks all interested alumni to give a two-week notice to guarantee a spot for your preferred date. LIFETIME BOOSTER CLUB MEMBERSHIP
The Athletic Booster Club at Walsh Jesuit has established a "lifetime" membership category. Alumni are invited to become permanent members of the club, which supports the school's outstanding student-athletes and first-class facilities. For a membership form and to read more, CLICK HERE.
OFFICIAL ALUMNI LINKEDIN GROUP Walsh Jesuit has launched an official alumni group on LinkedIn, a free professional business networking website. Become a member of the Walsh Jesuit Alumni Group, and you can network with alums, start discussions, search or post for jobs, and stay updated on current WJ news and events. Join the Walsh Jesuit alumni group by creating a profile on the LinkedIn website (www.linkedin.com).
