Barcelona Exchange Program 2013

Walsh Jesuit High School

Foreign Language Department

April 4, 2013

Dear Walsh Jesuit families,

September 2013 will mark the eighteenth year that Walsh Jesuit will host exchange students from Colegi CASP Sagrat Cor de Jesus, a Jesuit high school in Barcelona, Spain.

For this coming September we have been asked to find host families for 5 students. CASP school needs to know before the end of April if there will be homes, because this is when they purchase their tickets.

Students generally arrive one week before Labor Day weekend. During their three-week stay, our school is seeking WJHS families who will be able to meet the students upon their arrival at the airport in Cleveland, provide room and board in a good family atmosphere, provide them transportation to and from school, and take them back to the airport for their return trip to Barcelona.

The purpose of the exchange program is allow the students to practice their English while experiencing everyday American family life. While here the Spanish student will attend classes with your son or daughter. Each student from CASP will have his or her own health insurance and spending money.

If you are interested in hosting of these young people in your home, please fill out the attached form and email it to me or give it to or me directly. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the email address or phone number listed below.

     Thank you.

 Cordially,

Mrs. Patricia Schorr
