Ignatian Spirituality

Inspired by St. Ignatius Loyola, Ignatian Spirituality affirms the world and all-creation through the gift of God’s grace and love. Ignatian spirituality finds God in all things, persons, places, and events.  Walsh Jesuit provides opportunities in Ignatian Spirituality for the adult community through the Office of Mission & Identity, and for the student body through Campus Ministry.

This year’s Yearbook is available online.  What is different about this year’s book is that a good portion of it is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the restoration of the Society of Jesus. (The Jesuit order was suppressed in 1773 and restored in 1814).  The Yearbook has a lengthy history of these years leading up to the suppression and the years following the restoration.

Actually, the Jesuits were never completely suppressed, thanks to Catherine the Great in Russia who refused to implement the decree of suppression, since she didn’t want to lose the Jesuit schools.

You can view and download the entire Yearbook by clicking here.

Note that pages 12-85 deal with the period of the suppression and restoration.
